Each ME—Studio piece is made individually by hand using natural pearls, glass beads, silk thread and sterling silver components. A little care will help keep your jewelry looking its best.

Pearls + Silk

Pearls are a soft, porous natural material and should be treated gently. Keep them away from perfumes, lotions, oils, acids and other chemicals, which can discolor or damage their surface.

Pieces hand-knotted on silk should be kept dry. Although the silk is pre-stretched, repeated exposure to water can cause it to stretch and weaken over time.

To clean, gently wipe pearls with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid soaking, ultrasonic cleaners and steam cleaners.

Glass Beads + Sterling Silver

Glass bead pieces should be handled gently and kept away from water, perfumes, lotions and other chemicals when possible.

Sterling silver may naturally tarnish over time. Gently polish silver components with a soft silver polishing cloth as needed.

Avoid pulling, twisting or sharply bending beaded strands and eyewear chains. When not being worn, store your piece somewhere dry, ideally lying flat or loosely coiled.

Repairs

These pieces are made to be worn and enjoyed, and sometimes things happen.

If your piece breaks or needs a repair, please reach out to hello@margauxelliottstudio.com with a photo and a brief description of what happened. Repairs are considered individually.

For repairs within the United States, customers are responsible for shipping the piece to me using a trackable method. ME—Studio will cover standard return shipping once the repair is complete.

Because many of my beads and pearls are natural, vintage or sourced in small quantities, an exact replacement may not always be available. I’ll always do my best to find something that works with the original piece.
